Day 1: Negombo You will be welcomed and picked up at the airport by a guide/driver. Transfer to a Guesthouse/beach hotel of your choice in Negombo by an air-conditioned vehicle. The trip will take 20 mins. Overnight stay in Negambo.

Day 2: Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage – Anuradhapura After breakfast proceeds to Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage or Millenium Elephant Foundation. Here you will find elephants of all ages that have been abandoned by the herd. After lunch leave for Anuradhapura. First Capital of Sri Lanka in the 3rd Century BC. Declared a World Heritage Site. It is one of the holiest cities in Sri Lanka. Visit Sri Maha Bodhi, the oldest historically documented tree in the world, the Brazen Palace, Dagobas, Ruwanwelisaya, Abeygiri & Jetawana Monasteries, finely preserved rock-cut statues of Lord Buddha and ruins of palaces, Isurumuniya rock temple. Overnight at Anuradhapura.

Day 3: Sigiriya After breakfast leave for Sigiriya. Visit the Rock Fortress of Sigiriya which tells a tale of power, intrigue, and tragedy. This medieval city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, rose to fame as the capital (10th – 12th century AD). Overnight stay in Sigiriya.

Day 4 : Kandy – Dambulla Leave for Kandy via Dambulla. See the Golden Rock cave temple which dates back to the 1 st Century. BC.(If there is enough time and energy) From Dambulla drive to Matale to visit a spice garden. Dinner and overnight at Kandy.

Day 5: Departure After early breakfast, In Kandy, visit the Temple of the Tooth. View a cultural dance. Leave for Colombo/ Negombo or to the airport.
